Refund Policy

Effective date: May 26, 2026 Last updated: June 1, 2026

1. Introduction

This Refund Policy applies to subscriptions purchased from trackpetition.com, operated by Startup58 LLC. All payments are processed by Paddle.com Market Limited (Merchant of Record).

2. 14-day money-back guarantee (initial purchase)

If you experience a technical issue within 14 days of your initial subscription purchase that prevents you from using premium features, you may request a full refund.

Refund requests must include:

  • Your account email
  • Paddle order or transaction number
  • Description of the technical issue

3. Statutory rights

If the laws of your country (for example, EU member states or the UK) grant statutory withdrawal or cooling-off rights, those rights apply regardless of the conditions in Section 2.

4. Renewal refunds

Subscription renewal refunds are not automatically provided. The terms depend on your billing tier:

  • Monthly Plan: Renewals are generally non-refundable. Given the short-term nature of the billing cycle, the service is delivered and consumed within the period, and renewal charges are not eligible for a refund.
  • Quarterly and Annual Plans: Renewals may be reviewed for a discretionary refund within 7 days of the renewal date, provided the Service has not been actively used during the renewal period (see Section 6 for what constitutes active use).

Factors considered for any discretionary renewal refund:

  • Whether the Service was accessed or actively used during the renewal period.
  • Auto-renewal disclosure at subscription time.
  • Prior refund history.
  • Local law requirements.

5. Refund deductions

Refunds may be subject to deductions for:

  • Paddle transaction fees not returned upon refund.
  • Unrecoverable taxes.
  • Currency conversion fees.

Typical range: 5–7% of the original payment.

If applicable law requires a full refund without deductions (mandatory cooling-off), we will honor those legal requirements.

6. Digital service usage

TrackPetition is a continuous case-notification service. Digital service delivery and usage begin immediately and automatically the moment a case or petition is actively placed under monitoring and the system performs its first tracking check or dispatches a status-change notification — not merely when you log in or browse the interface.

For this service, "substantial usage" means that any of the following has occurred during the billing period:

  • One or more cases or petitions have been placed under active monitoring.
  • The system has performed automated tracking checks against a monitored case.
  • One or more status-change notifications have been dispatched (for example, by WhatsApp, email, or browser push).
  • Tracking history, insights, or analytics for a monitored case have been generated or accessed.

Once substantial usage has occurred, the digital service has been delivered and your right to a refund may be affected. Where you have provided express consent for digital service to begin immediately, any statutory withdrawal right may expire upon that delivery, to the extent permitted by applicable law.

7. Non-refundable items

  • Data, insights, or analytics already accessed.
  • Bank or card-issuer fees not charged by us.
  • Subscriptions canceled with the billing period still ongoing (you retain access until period end).
  • Pro-rated unused portions (except where law requires).

8. How to request a refund

Contact: [email protected]

Include:

  • Account email
  • Paddle order or transaction number
  • Reason for request
  • Description of the technical issue (if applicable)

Reviewed within 5 business days.

9. Processing time

Approved refunds: 5–10 business days to the original payment method via Paddle.

10. Cancellations

Cancel anytime in Account Settings. Effective at the end of the current billing period.

Cancellation does not automatically trigger a refund. Follow Section 8 for refund requests.

11. Special jurisdictions

EU / UK / EEA: consumers retain all rights under applicable consumer protection laws, including withdrawal rights for distance contracts.

California, USA: additional protections under California Auto-Renewal Law. We provide required disclosures at subscription and prior to renewal.

Any rights under mandatory consumer protection laws prevail over this policy.

12. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy. Material changes are posted with an updated "Last updated" date.
